Obituary of Brant Edward Overbee

On December 19, 2021, Brant Edward Overbee was suddenly taken from this world in a motorcycle accident in Tucson, Arizona. His memory lives on with his wife Eryka Jimenez, with his children Odin Overbee, Emma Overbee, Ashley Jimenez, Jeremiah Small, and his parents Don and Roxanna Overbee. He was welcomed home in heaven by his grandparents Gilmore "Bud" and Lorraine Godbold.

Born in Scottsdale, AZ on January 21, 1978, Brant has been a burning light of energy in this world. True to his artistic heart, he was man that loved big, laughed loud, and lived fearlessly.

Music moved in him whether it be funk, blues, jazz, rock, or classic country. Brant was the original Punk Rock Encyclopedia, and easily the first goofball to be jumping and dancing around.  Brant was the type of guy that would  be genuinely interested in what others had to say and could engage  in conversation with total strangers about everything and anything.

Brant constantly craved to understand the mechanics of life. He would tinker on just about anything that had moving parts. With an eye for bringing junk back to life, motorcycles were his passion. Riding his motorcycle, Penny, was where Brant felt free.

He was an incredibly hardworking father, husband, son, and friend. But whenever possible, Brant found quiet peace in heading to nature, propping up at the riverbank, and fishing the day away.

He had such a talent for drawing, painting, and sculpting. Adding color, vibrancy, and art to our lives, Brant’s life made all of ours brighter.

His Celebration of Life service will be held April 30, 2022 in Tucson, AZ at his home 10001 E Nicaragua Ln.

In honor of Brant please play your favorite music too loud, find yourself in nature, and do whatever it is that makes your heart feel free.

“May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

and the rains fall soft upon your fields,

and until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
