Nancy Walsh

Obituary of Nancy Walsh

There are many things we will remember about our mom. How soft her hands were, how her eyes sparkled, how her smile lit up her entire face. We remember the sound of her laughter and the tone of her voice when someone disappointed her. But most of all, we remember how we felt when she said to us, "I love you." That was the best feeling in the world, to know this very special woman loved each of us with all her heart.

Of all the memories that may dim in the coming years, that feeling is something we know we will never forget. And just want to say, we love you too, Mom.

Nancy (Bruckner) Walsh, age 93, was called home to her heavenly father on January 5th, 2023.

She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and attended Normal College, now known as Eastern Michigan College, to get her associate degree in accounting. She had worked at several companies over the years, but she found her work at the non-profit, Project PPEP, most fulfilling. She was the Executive Director of Finance and was instrumental in growing their budget from thousands to millions of dollars annually and oversaw the computerization of the finance department. It was also said that under her financial guidance, PPEP had never failed an audit. She retired from her (other family) in 1994.

Nancy had an adventurer's spirit and loved to travel. She went to China, Canada, Alaska, and Mazaltan, Mexico. She was always up for a road trip. She also loved to read, paint, and do cross word puzzles, but she was happiest when she spent time with her children and grandchildren, they were the light of her life.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husbands Grant A. Bruckner and John Walsh, her sons, James and Robert Bruckner, and grandson, David L.G. Hallen. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Sandra K. Hourscht, sons Alan S. Bruckner, Jeffery D. Bruckner, and Michael R. Bruckner, daughter Patty J. See, ten grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be February 18th, 2023 at 1:00pm at the LDS River Crossing Ward - 2002 N. Greasewood, Tucson, AZ, 85745. Send flowers or make a donation in her name to the Humane society of Tucson - https://support.hssaz.org/give

Those we love don't go away.

They walk beside us every day,

Unseen, unheard,

But always near,

Still loved, still missed

And very dear
