Obituary of Frederick Alan Ashton

Obituary It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick Alan Ashton (Fredi Boy) announce his passing on December 31, 2018 at the age of 54. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald “Bruce” Ashton. He is survived by, his mother and step-father, Gail and Skip Belmore, his daughter Valereigh Ashton, two sisters, Kimberleigh (Chris, Dylan and Jenna) Swierczewski and Kelleigh (Scott) Wasser, step-sister Debbi Belmore, step-brother Chip (Beth) Belmore, two granddaughters Jayda and Victoria, many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Fred was born on January 25, 1964 and grew up in New Paltz, NY. He was an avid hiker and camper who loved to spend time exploring the Minnewaska and Catskill mountains. His favorite place to hike and camp was at the Peekamoose Blue Hole in the Catskill mountains. He took pride in sharing his love of the outdoors with his daughter, family and friends. Wherever there was a campfire Fred was there. He made friends everywhere he went and was loved by all who knew him. He was kind, caring and would help those around him anyway he could.
