Obituary of Mary Jelinek Dalpiaz

Obituary Mary Louise Jelinek (Dalpiaz), age 59, passed away peacefully at her home in Tucson, Arizona on September 22nd, 2018. Born on March 16th, 1959 in Crystal Lake, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of Richard Joseph Jelinek and the late Gloria June Madsen (Jelinek). Mary grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona and was a 1977 graduate from Flagstaff High School. In Flagstaff, she met and married Carl Celeste Dalpiaz on July 28th, 1979, and they both attended the University of Arizona in Tucson together. Mary achieved her nursing degree in 1996 and worked for 21 years as a nurse in Tucson, Arizona. She enjoyed camping with her 4 children, her dogs, and her growing number of grandchildren. Mary and her husband Carl are members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Tucson, Arizona. Mary is survived by her father Richard Joseph Jelinek (Carol), husband of 39 years Carl Celeste Dalpiaz, four children Lindi (Bryan Arnold), Paul (Adri), Michael (Hannah), and Emily. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Susan, Judy, Laura (Steve Spackeen), Diane (Bill Townsend), and 1 brother Michael (Darlene). Additional special surviving relatives via her husband’s family include Mary’s father & mother in-law Arthur & Deanna Dalpiaz, sister in-law Carla (Joe Caslin), and brother’s in-law Curt and Chris (Shannon). Mary is also survived by 3 grandsons (via Lindi) Anthony Arnold, Carter Arnold, Evan Arnold, 1 granddaughter (via Lindi) Aubrey Arnold, 1 granddaughter (via Michael) Eleanor Dalpiaz, and very much loved and anticipated yet unborn grandson (via Michael) “Baby Boy” Dalpiaz. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Gloria June Madsen (Jelinek). Funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Tucson, Arizona on November 9th, 2018 with a Rosary at 10am and funeral Mass at 11am.
