Obituary of Myrtle Marceline Conn

Obituary Myrtle Marceline Conn, 82, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. She was born on August 15, 1936, to parents Walter and Georgiana (Burton) Fuhrman in the Township of Maine, Wisconsin. She was the youngest of 8 siblings. On October 1, 1955, she married Victor Buelow in Maple Creek, Wisconsin. Together, they lived in Medina and had five children. In 1976, they opened Vic and Myrt's Supper Club in Readfield, Wisconsin. The restaurant was closed in 1981, shortly after Victor's death. In 1982, Myrt moved to Arizona, where she owned and operated Myrt's Apache Lair Restaurant in Elfrida. She married Robert Conn on August 18, 1987. Robert passed away on April 17, 1989. She retired from the restaurant in the early 1990s and moved to Sunsites with her companion, Don Burnett. They spent much of their time traveling together, including spending winters in Kino Bay, Sonora, Mexico. They eventually moved to Tucson, where Don passed away on September 16, 2010. She was known throughout her life for her love of arts and crafts, including crocheting, sewing, and stained glass art. Myrt is survived by her brother, Norbert (and Erika) Fuhrman; her children Dennis (and Sandra) Buelow, Dale Buelow, Yvonne (and Duane) Armitage, Barbara Harris (and Scot Lauderbach), and son-in-law Jeff Rexroat; her 9 grandchildren: Amanda and Kristin Armitage; Rebeka Jo, Shannon, and Michelle Edberg and Timothy Kilpatrick; Jessica (and Michael) Goins, Megan (and Bobby) Dancy, and Jonathan Hernandez; and her 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings Vira Zeamer, Rudolph "Rudy" Fuhrman, Ralph Fuhrman, Norman Fuhrman, Dorothy Norder, and Myrna Meyer; her husband Victor Buelow; her husband Robert Conn; her companion Don Burnett; her daughter Rona Rexroat; her grandson Brandon Edberg; and her great-granddaughter Lindsay Goins. A family gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 12 from 5-9 p.m. at the VFW 4903, located at 5320 E. Bellevue Street, Tucson, AZ 85712.
