Obituary of Alfred Anaya

Obituary Alfred “Dida” Anaya (July 28, 1960-November 14, 2019) Alfred “Sweet D, Dida” Anaya, born on July 28, 1960 in Tucson, AZ sadly passed away on November 14, 2019 at the young age of 59, surrounded by family and friends. Dida grew up in the “Reformas” and had many friends from his days at Carillo Elementary, Safford, Tucson, Pueblo, Catalina HS, and graduated from University HS in Roswell, NM. Sweet D had a zest for life that was unmatched, his passion for music and dancing was undeniable, and his ability to talk with anyone and everyone was loved. Sweet D loved the outdoors, camping, cookouts, time with family & friends, storytelling, singing, and sharing his experiences in his unique style. He is preceded in death by his mother Nellie “Wera” Anaya, father Frank “Pancho” Anaya, and sister Teresa “Beadies” Torrez. He leaves behind his brother’s Frank Anaya, Carlos Anaya, Arturo Anaya (Kara), Lorenzo Anaya, Greg Salazar, Martin Anaya, and Danny Anaya (April) sister’s Veronica Gonzales (Louie), Gloria Romero (Dale), Gracie Anaya, Margaret Sefton (Dennis),Martha Anaya, and Frances Anaya, and son’s Alfred Anaya (Danielle), Malo Anaya, and Michael Gallardo, and daughter Santana, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and extended family. We will miss those iconic splits, laugh and smile forever. A viewing will be from 9-10am on Wednesday November 27, 2019, with a mass to follow at 10:30am, all atSaint Agustin Cathedral.
