Obituary of Michelle Alicia Nolen

Obituary Michelle "Pookie" Alicia Nolen entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 12th from residual effects of Ovarian Cancer. Michelle will be remembered as a kind, lively spirited Woman. She always kept it "real" by telling you what you needed to hear, the way you needed to hear it and when you needed to hear it EVEN if you didn't WANT to hear it! She had a HUGE heart! She was so full of LOVE She constantly gave of herself, gave her time, shared her knowledge and expected nothing in return but for you only to "KEEP IT MOVIN'!" YES! If you knew Michelle, she said this phrase ALL of the time! "Honey, you better keep it movin!" Michelle was a consummate professional. She proudly served her country enlisted in the US Navy and US Navy Reserves respectively. After which she continued showing support for her Country by beginning her career working for various Federal Service Agencies until her death. Michelle enjoyed cooking, entertaining, loved her family and friends, she enjoyed reading, shopping and decorating. She always tried to display a positive spirit and mind set! She made everyone who knew her feel special and loved. Michelle is preceded in death by her parents, Alicia Henderson and Maceo Wells. Michelle is survived by her Son, Norvick Nolen Jr, His Father, Norvick Nolen Sr, Her Sisters, Theresa Michel and Rubye Nasser, Her Nieces, Sonya Gadson, Dominique Nasser and Nicole Michel, Her Sorority Sisters Elona Cannon and Felicia Roberson and a wealth of numerous beloved extended family members and friends. "Michelle, God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you pass away....Although we loved you dearly, we knew we could not make you stay! A golden heart stopped beating....Hard working hands finally at rest! God broke our hearts to prove to us....He only takes the best. We love you Michelle!
