David cared and felt bad that he really needed help but with his physical condition he could not help except with money. Our last outing was to a barbecue place (Smokey Mo) on First avenue Tucson. It was good but not as good as Kansas City. He valued his cousins and was happy to have seen them for the last time last fall.I will miss him, but with all of his physical limitations he was not happy.

David was a long time friend since Jr High to my husband Steve. Before that, their parents knew eachother for years. David and I met eachother at Hillel at the University of Missouri. One weekend, after I had broken up with a boy I had been dating, David offered to take me to a KU/MU game in Kansas City. I wanted to get away from Columbia, so we went to his family home in KC. David had not seen his buddy Steve in months, and asked him to come over and visit that night. When Steve came in the door, we both went ga-ga for eachother. Like love at first sight. Well, Steve and I have been married for 47 years and we owe our finding eachother to David Eisen. He was our groomsman for our wedding and has been a part of our lives all these years, sharing in family simchas. Until the last few years when David has not been able to get around, we have all stayed in touch. This is such a shame and he will be missed by us.

David and I knew each other through the halls of Beth Shalom Synagogue. We sensed s kindred spirit between us. He worked with his father at their family’s formalware rental business. I wouldn’t consider renting anywhere else when I needed to dress up. David was quite generous connecting his friends if he saw a good match. He had a warm smile and terric sense of humor. He knew how to be a good friend and he loved to talk. I will miss him.
