I hope this message gets to Claude’s children. I was a very good friend of Claude’s from Sears and Wheaton. I just heard about his passing today (5/28/19) and would like to communicate with the family. I am “Clay’s” godfather, but have not had contact with him in forever. Claude was one of my 3 closest friends in high school. We went to KU together. We drifted apart with busy lives, but reconnected about 5 years ago and communicated frequently. Claude was one of the finest men I have ever known. His integrity was beyond reproach and his sense of humor was enriching. I am blessed to have been his friend. We were greatly saddened by the untimely and totally unexpected passing of our good friend & neighbor, Claude. He was a great guy and fun to be around. He cared about his family and many friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was very well-read, and knew a lot about many different things. In the various organizations he belonged to, you could count on him to take action and get things done. The world was a better place with Claude in it. RIP Claude.....A JOB WELL DONE!
