Obituary of Margaret Joan Hansman
Margaret Joan Hansman was born in Kalispell Montana on 6/17/1939.
She comfortably passed away on 12/8/2020 in Tucson Arizona.
Our paths crossed and we were fortunate to love and live together for almost 30 years, in Tucson AZ, Rio Rancho NM, and Puerto Penasco MX. Alzheimer's disease and the Covid 19 pandemic drastically changed our plans for life during the past few years. Joan will be sorely missed by the many lives she touched. She was raised and educated in the NW United States. Joan earned a Master's degree in Social Work and worked as a clinical therapist. Her professional career was devoted primarily to the deaf, the blind, college students and any child or person needing a capable caring advocate. The hole in my heart is huge, but I feel her presence in the exquisite sunsets she has been sharing with us recently. RIP mi amiga.
One of Joan's favorite poems by R.L. Sharpe:
"Isn't it strange that princes and kings,
And clowns that caper in sawdust rings,
And common people like you and me,
ARE BUILDERS FOR ETERNITY?”
“Each is given a bag of tools,
A shapeless mass, a book of rules,
And EACH must make---ere life is flown,
A stumbling block or a STEPPINGSTONE.”
*Let's all strive for steppingstones!
