Sharon Sue (Braxton) Weigand

February 7th, 1941 to January 7th, 2023

"Mama" Sharon, 81, passed peacefully surrounded by family on January 7th, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona.

Born in Prescott, Arizona on February 7th, 1941. She lived in Arizona, Texas, Kansas, California, Iowa, and New Mexico over her 81 years.

She is survived by her children: Sue Romero of Arizona, Regina Parker of Arizona, Tammy (Don) Kroening of New Mexico, and Samuel Carroll of Texas. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Brother Gary (Pat) Braxton, sister at heart Jacky (Alex) Hawkins, and beloved dog, George.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of many, many years, Daniel T. (Joe) Weigand, her father Jimmie W. Braxton, mother Frances E. (Dunaway) Springstead, and brother Robert E. Springstead.

She was a foster parent to more than 30 children over the years and worked for Hallmark cards for nearly two decades.

Sharon will be cremated and laid to rest with her husband at the Marana Veterans Cemetery on May 11th, 2023 at 12:00pm, followed by a celebration of life at 5110 W. Pima Farms Road at 1:30pm.
