Obituary of Gary Lee Sterling

Gary Sterling, age 60, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. He was born on April 22, 1962 to the late Frank and Shirley Sterling (Lee) in Greenfield, Ohio.

Gary proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. He later worked as a cardiovascular sonographer at St. Mary’s hospital and the Tucson VA hospital. In his free time, he was an avid The Ohio State Buckeye’s football fan and enjoyed hiking “A” mountain in Tucson.

Gary leaves behind his children, Brandi (Chase) Rogers of Granville, Ohio and Gary Sterling II (Andrea) Sterling of Newark, Ohio; siblings Frank Sterling of Chillicothe, Ohio, Gina Sterling of Tucson, Arizona, and Anita (Marvin) Whitley of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Adilyn, Amelia, Barrett, and Lawson; niece, Brittany (Rene) their children Chloe, Abel, and Lilly, nephew, Cameron and Adam; as well as numerous aunts and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his nephew Chanse Sterling.

A memorial and graveside services will be held in Ohio at a later date.
