Obituary of Jean Barbara Burchill

Obituary Jean Barbara Morse Burchill, 93, passed away peacefully at home in Tucson with her family by her side on October 22, 2018. Jean was born in Mortimer, Berkshire, England on August 26, 1925, to John Percy Morse and Lily Phillis Morse. Jean met the love of her life, Russell Burchill, in England while he was stationed there during World War II in the US Army Air Corp and they married in 1944. After the war Jean emigrated to the United States and started a family with Russell in Saginaw, Michigan. Jean enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, golfing with her husband and friends, and was an active member of a British-American women’s club in Saginaw for over 40 years. Jean and Russell were married 30 years at the time of his passing. .After spending many cherished winters staying with her family in Tucson Jean moved here where she enjoyed her final years. In Tucson she fell in love with the Santa Catalina mountains that she looked out upon daily. Jean will be lovingly missed by her daughter Pamela Fountain and husband Mark, her sons Harold and Brian and Brian’s wife Rosa, grandchildren Jeremy Chartrand (Dawn), Jessica Clunie (Neal), Sharon and Justin Burchill and great grandchildren Calvin, Madison, and Alayna Clunie, and Tristan and Aidyn Chartrand. She is preceded in death by her sister Pamela, her parents and husband. Jean’s kindness, warmth and compassion will be forever remembered by family, friends and all those she touched.
