Obituary of Pamela J Leal-Bass

Obituary Pamela J. Leal-Bass, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at her home in Tucson, AZ. She was born on 01/21/1949, in San Francisco, CA. She is now dancing in Heaven with her very loving Father Harley Haverberg and selfless Patricia Douglas (step-mom) who raised her. She thoroughly enjoyed hot rod vehicles and motorcycles from very early and continued until her passing. She was also very competitive in sports playing and competing in volleyball, racquetball, horseshoes, basketball, billiards, Ping-Pong and softball. Professionally, she spent her working years doing what she loved, working for the Department of Defense supporting our military families as a Housing Director on US Installations, both here and abroad. During her decades of government service, she was recognized with countless awards, commendations and other accolades, including from Generals and Admirals. In her personal time, she was always willing to help and never hesitated to open her home for people or animals in need. Later in life she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Maurice, Tate, Dominique, Andre, Daniel, Chris, Anthony and Jessica. She also had 10 great grandchildren who all adorably called her “Lola”. She is survived by her son, William Bass (Laura), daughter Alicia Bass-Castillo (Rene), siblings Gregory J. and Michelle Yancey. Her ashes will be spread at a later date in Monterey Bay, California, as she requested. We are all better people for being loved by you. We know you loved us all deeply, yet we still love you more! We will carry your memory, kindness and love forever. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Pamela J Leal-Bass, please visit our floral store.
