It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John, our loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, godfather, friend.
John slipped into eternal rest on July 26, while in the care of Tucson Medical Center Hospice, Peppi’s House, in Tucson, Arizona
He was the son of Robert P. Abbott and Barbara L. Hall Abbott, of Double Adobe.
Born in Alpine, Texas his family moved to Casa Grande, Phoenix, Tolleson, Douglas and eventually settled in Double Adobe, Arizona.
He attended the Double Adobe Elementary school in McNeal, until he reached high school, where he attended Douglas High School-class of 1995.
He had a variety of careers during his young life;
Club bouncer, bartender, insurance underwriter, youth mentor with Phoenix Pride LGBT Center, an avid supporter of The Ryan White Foundation and Bisbee Pride.
John loved life, his dogs, loved to cook and bake, reading, music, scary movies, Mexican food, sleepovers with his girls.
He loved his family, blood or not. He was a friend to anyone he met. He was loving, thoughtful and deeply caring. A fun time was always spent with John, talking and laughing until all hours of the night.
