He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 7 step-great grand children. He is further survived by his close cousin, Charlie (Sharon) Guenterberg. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ruth (Westphal) Oestreich of Waukesha, WI and his in-laws Joseph and Edna (Wulf) Sauer of Medford, WI. Bob was born on February 11, 1941 in Watertown WI. He grew up in the Milwaukee area and attended Washington High School. He played the trombone in high school and in the All City Band. He joined the Air Force in 1958 and served until 1962, while being stationed in Duluth, MN. After the service he lived in Waukesha, WI and was employed in hospitality and tire sales businesses. Bob and Judy owned the Riverhouse Inn and Florena Supper Club in Medford, WI from 1976 through 1987. They then moved to the Minnesota area where he worked for Pomps Tire Service, retiring in 2003. Following retirement, he and Judy made their permanent move to Green Valley, AZ. He was a member of the American Legion Post 66 and drove for Class Act Transportation and A-Ok Towncar Service. He so enjoyed helping people whether it was 4 am to get someone to the airport on time or one of the ladies to their doctor’s appointments, it was like “Driving Miss Daisy.” Many of Ace’s passions were golfing, boating on the Mighty Mississippi, entertaining friends, and dancing with the love of his life, Judy. He enjoyed the Perfect Manhattan, because you know “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” especially if the mountains turned pink! He loved trains. The rides that he and Judy took in Durango, Pikes Peak, Alaska and New Mexico, held special meaning to him. He loved his family and friends and most of all, getting to meet his great grand children was most special to him. A celebration of life will be held in Medford, WI in early October and in Green Valley, AZ in November. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials can be directed to the family to be designated at a later date honoring his memory. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and a special thank you to the medical team at Arizona Oncology and the Green Valley Hospital.
