Obituary of Julia Vega Gallardo

Obituary Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Julia V. Gallardo passed away suddenly on April 26, 2019. Julia was a very loving, caring and a good friend to many. She was very easy to talk to about anything and always offered a hand to hold or a shoulder to cry on. She would try to make you laugh even in bad times. To her family, she was loved dearly and we were all blessed to have her in our lives. She was very bright and funny. Family and friends loved to engage in conversation with her at functions or parties, because they knew she was always positive and found the humor in almost anything. As a parent, she did her best to be a good mom. She stumbled along the way at times, but once we grew up, we had a few stumbles of our own, and she made it easier to help us learn by our mistakes, loved us regardless and was very supportive. She enjoyed watching football, WWE and her love of music and dancing was contagious! She passed that love along to her children and grandkids. She loved her sweets too, and her amazing green eyes, so pretty. Throughout the years she was employed by the Department of Motor Vehicles and Pima County Elections. She retired from the Sunnyside Unified School District. Julia (Nana/Aunt Julie) is survived by her sons, Ron (Maryann) Gallardo, Daniel (Deanna) Villa and her daughter Margaret (Gilbert) Valenzuela. She has seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She prayed to St. Jude and Santa Martha. She prayed to God, even when things were not going in her favor, she continued to pray with faith and the hope of better things to come. Her beautiful personality, her strength, and her laughter will be painfully missed. We grieve the loss of our mother, and we have lost a very dear friend as well.
