Linnea Edith (Geary) McNeese

June 12, 1938- July 8, 2021

Linnea E. (Geary) McNeese, 83, of Niles, Michigan passed peacefully at her daughter’s home in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday, July 8, 2021. She was born in Niles, Michigan on June 12, 1938, to Carleton and Florence (Winquist) Geary. Linnea attended Niles schools where she met her future husband, Larry Dale McNeese, Sr. They were married on May 28, 1960, and had two daughters, Marjorae and Lisa, and one son, Larry Dale Jr. Linnea worked for the Niles Public Schools at Ring Lardner Junior High School and retired after 20 years of service.

Survivors include: Marjorae (Mike) Ingle of Tucson, AZ; Lisa Gard of Florida; Larry Dale, Jr. of Tucson, AZ.

Granddaughters: Jessica (Neal) Lawton of Tucson, AZ; Danielle (Ricardo) Montejo of Niles, MI. Andrea (Connor) Haradine of Florida; Grandson: Ryan Gard of Texas.

Great-Grandchildren: Emma and Carson Lawton; Henry Hotrum and Valentina Montejo; Layla and Frankie Haradine.

Other survivors: Jack (Elain) Geary, brother, of Tucson, AZ; Jean Yost, sister, of Tucson, AZ; Phyllis (Robert) Klingenfus, sister, of Tucson, AZ; Carol (Dewayne) Pletcher, sister, of Portage, MI. Linnea is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Linnea was preceded in death by: Larry Dale, Sr.(husband); Carleton and Florence Geary (parents); Forrest and Joan Geary (brother and sister-in-law); Wayne Yost (brother-in-law); Isabel Geary (sister-in-law). Linnea is deeply adored by family and friends for her selfless, loving, thoughtful and kind spirit. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother that was the core of the family. A celebration of life will be held at 7 pm, Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Word in Season Christian Center, 5250 East Pima St., Tucson, AZ 85712.
